Maintenance Team Lead (Afternoon Shift)
Location: 8735 E. 33rd St. Indianapolis, IN 46226
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay: $35 – $37 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Team Lead to join our Reliability Department. This key role is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians and ensuring our production equipment and facilities operate safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
Lead, direct, and support maintenance team members during the afternoon shift.
Coordinate and assign preventative maintenance, scheduled repairs, and emergency response.
Train, mentor, and onboard new maintenance personnel.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure timely, effective resolutions.
Maintain compliance with HAACP, SQF, and GMP standards.
Inspect facility and equipment for proper function and safety compliance.
Assist with inventory management and upkeep of tools and equipment.
Complete and submit accurate documentation and maintenance logs.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
What We’re Looking For:
High school diploma (or equivalent) required, associate’s degree from a technical school preferred.
Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing setting; 5+ years preferred.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage team dynamics effectively.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, VFDs, and control safety circuits.
Experience with welding, machining, fabrication, HVAC, boilers, and ammonia systems is a plus.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and arc flash regulations.
Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working independently or within a team.
Experience with SAP or similar CMMS software is advantageous.
