We are currently seeking a Crash Reconstruction Engineer/Consultant to join our growing team in McMinnville, OR. This position requires a skilled crash reconstructionist with a strong foundation in engineering principles and investigative techniques. Responsibilities include conducting independent on-site investigations, performing complex crash analysis using advanced software, preparing detailed reports and presentations, and collaborating effectively with the team and with clients. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and several years of relevant experience in crash reconstruction are required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides responsive, high quality service to MSSC’s clients
  • Conduct thorough on-site investigations of crashes
  • Perform detailed crash reconstruction analyses utilizing various analytical methods and software
  • Analyze data, perform calculations, and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
  • Deliver expert testimony and presentations in legal and other professional settings.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including client relationship building and marketing support.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain a teamwork mentality
  • Timely submission of billing expenses and hours via Company software
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Adherence to company policies including time and expense reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field and several years of relevant experience in crash reconstruction
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to apply critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making in order to prioritize workload
  • Must be adaptable with the aptitude and willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
  • Must be extremely well organized with the ability to deliver fast and accurate turnaround times.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must meet or exceed company aptitude standards regarding overall computer and technical proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in recon
  • Former LEO with recon
  • LEVA certification - Partial LEVA courses a plus
  • Photomodeler training
  • Simulation work - HVE, PC Crash, Virtual Crash,
  • Drone 107 pilot - Willingness to certify upon acceptance of offer
  • Prior experience in automotive related field - ASE Certifications, etc

Physical Requirements:

  • Works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
  • Noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office.
  • Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
