This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in financial management, valuation, FP&A, ERP implementation, monthly reporting, forecasting, ledger, P&L, and cash flow. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's financial operations, from strategic planning to hands-on management of our accounting and finance teams. Responsibilities Oversee the operations of the Accounting and Finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives. Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including Withholding Payments, Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax. Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary. Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash. Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting. Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy. Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that personnel and financial information is secure and stored in compliance with current legislation. Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate. Assist the CEO and the Board Treasurer with financial reporting as required at Board meetings and the Annual General Meetings. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success. Strong knowledge of financial management, valuation, FP&A, ERP implementation, monthly reporting, forecasting, ledger, P&L, and cash flow. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to work in a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially with Excel, and experience with accounting software and databases. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
