Salary: $15.00 - $30.00 depending on experience level

Gypsum Systems, located in Elma NY, specializing in all areas of commercial construction. Including commercial wall work, ceiling work, and plastering subcontracting is searching for a Field Carpenter to join our team! We are interested in applicants of all skill levels - Entry level to Journeyman Carpenter.

Responsibilities in the role include the following:

• Installing metal framing, drywall, drywall finisher, acoustic ceilings, and exterior claddings
• Installing millwork and trims or moldings making clean and precise angles
  
• Installation of counter tops including joining and polishing seams
• Installation of doors, frames, and related hardware
• Stocking material in designated rooms, using care not to damage corners of cartons
• Removing cutoffs and scrap to dumpster or recycle bin
• Identifying any unsafe conditions and take appropriate action
  
• Reviewing plans for proper millwork placement and review finish schedule for location of moldings and accessories
• Laying out millwork plan using lasers to achieve accurate levelness, review architectural plans and finish schedule for details related to the installations
• Other duties as required

For success in this role, Gypsum Systems is searching for the following qualifications:

• Experience in the construction field, metal studs and drywall construction experience a plus, not required.
  
• Must be 18 years of age
• Exposure or experience with blueprints a plus.
  
• Reliable transportation to get to job sites throughout WNY
• Demonstration of time management skills, and team communication skills
