What Youll Be Doing:

As a Field Medical Director (FMD), Radiology, you will be a key member of the utilization management team, making a meaningful difference in patients' lives in a non-clinical environment. You will work in a collaborative setting that values continuous learning and aims to improve health outcomes.

Collaboration Opportunities:

• Interact with leadership, management staff, physicians, and other staff as needed for input and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review imaging cases for medical necessity, including specialty reviews as required by providers, clients, or law.
• Discuss determinations with requesting physicians via peer-to-peer calls within regulatory timeframes, providing clinical rationale for appeals.
• Use clinical guidelines to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality in reviews, aligning with URAC and NCQA standards.
• Support and guide initial clinical reviewers.
• Document all communications accurately and promptly.
• Assist senior leadership with research and system support related to utilization management.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain inter-rater reliability.

Qualifications:

• MD/DO/MBBS with active, unrestricted license in your specialty.
• At least five years of post-residency clinical practice; recent clinical practice preferred.
• Board certification from an accredited organization.
• Strong clinical, management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers and health IT systems.
• No exclusions or sanctions from federal or state healthcare programs.
• No major disciplinary or legal actions against you.

Technical Requirements:

High-speed internet (>10 Mbps) and direct connection to the home router are required. These requirements may change with office re-openings.

The salary range is $95-110/hr, with potential bonuses based on performance. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance. Compensation varies based on skills and experience.
