Job Description

Please note: This role is based at our San Francisco HQ to work alongside our entire team in-office five days per week.

We’re looking for a founding designer to lead all things design at Campfire.

This is an opportunity to reinvent finance and bring our customers into the AI era. You’ll build the foundation of our design culture.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Talk to users, translate these conversations into product features, improvements and fixes, work with engineering to get them shipped.
  • Build the design team as we scale, including hiring, establishing design processes, and fostering a culture of rapid iteration and excellence.
  • Own all aspects of our visual identity across product, marketing, socials and brand.
  • Define and implement design systems, documentation practices and workflows that help the team build visually consistent, high-quality features quickly.

You’re likely a good fit if:

  • You are quick, scrappy and first and foremost a hacker/builder. Design at Campfire is lightning fast - we typically take features from idea to high-fidelity design in days, not weeks or months.
  • You’ve spent at least a few years shipping complex but beautiful features to real users.
  • You live and breathe pixels with excellent taste for well-crafted interaction design and UI details.
  • You have worked in a high-growth, fast-paced environment (ideally another startup) and can drive things forward with relatively little oversight.

Our entire team works at Campfire HQ in the heart of the Financial District.
