Position Summary

The Marketing Specialist at Woodland Windows & Doors will drive digital and traditional brand visibility, generate high-quality leads, and support our company’s growth objectives. This role combines tactical execution with strategic planning: you will be responsible for overseeing our annual budget for all our campaigns. You will work with and measure all our SEO/SEM efforts that is being implemented by our webhost and execute lead-generation initiatives that keep us top-of-mind with homeowners throughout Chicagoland. You will be responsible for measuring all our marketing efforts and measure our R.O.I. on each of our campaigns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and maintain an annual, cross-channel digital and traditional marketing plan aligned with business goals.
  • Go to market to find vendors to meet our marketing initiatives and find the best values to generate window and door replacement leads.
  • Collaborate with leadership to set SMART objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quarterly targets.
  • Coordinate with sales and operations to ensure marketing initiatives support revenue targets and customer experience standards.

Lead Generation & Demand Generation

  • Own end-to-end digital and offline lead-generation campaigns (paid search, paid/organic social, email, direct mail, events), optimizing channels for cost per lead (CPL) and conversion rates.
  • Build and execute digital nurture workflows to move prospects through the sales funnel, in partnership with inside sales reps.
  • Analyze campaign performance data; identify opportunities to scale successful tactics.

SEO & Website Management

  • Serve as primary liaison with our webhost partner to manage and optimize SEO: keyword research, on-page optimization, technical audits, and link-building strategies.
  • Track all performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush, and report on rankings, traffic, and lead attribution.
  • Collaborate on website UX improvements that increase conversion rate.

Digital Advertising & Email Marketing

  • Plan, launch, and optimize PPC, display, remarketing, and social ad campaigns.
  • Manage audience segmentation, content calendar, and automation for email marketing programs to drive engagement and repeat business.

Budget & Vendor Management

  • Develop, track, and reconcile the annual marketing budget, ensuring optimal spend across digital and traditional channels.
  • Evaluate, onboard, and manage relationships with external vendors and agencies (design, print, digital ads, events).

Content & Creative Development

  • Coordinate creation of website content, blog posts, email newsletters, social media assets, and collateral in line with brand guidelines.
  • Work with designers, copywriters, and multimedia vendors to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Build dashboards and regular reports on digital channel performance, ROI, and marketing-attributed revenue.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Inside Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to align messaging, share feedback, and refine customer journeys.
  • Support trade shows, community events, and in-showroom promotions by coordinating logistics and promotional materials.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of B2C marketing experience, preferably in home improvement, construction, or retail industries.
  • Demonstrated success in digital lead-generation campaigns and marketing analytics.
  • Hands-on SEO expertise, including technical site audits and ongoing optimization.
  • Proficient with Google Analytics, Google Ads, email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot), and CRM systems.
  • Strong project-management skills with acute attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to craft compelling copy.
  • Budget management experience and comfort working with external vendors.
  • Creative thinker with a data-driven mindset and a passion for innovation.

  • Periodic travel to trade shows, community events, and vendor meetings; may involve standing for extended periods, set-up/break-down of displays, and walking between event areas.

Work Environment:

  • Office setting at our Roselle headquarters, with a collaborative open-plan layout and private meeting rooms.
  • Standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to support events or campaign launches.
  • Fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly based on business goals and campaign performance.
