Tableau Developer | About You  

As a Tableau Developer, you are responsible for designing and delivering scalable, high-performance dashboards that meet business needs. You leverage strong SQL and database knowledge to ensure efficient query structure and optimized dashboard performance. You take ownership of Tableau environments from development through production, minimizing the need for supervision. You establish and follow best practices and standards for dashboard development, version control, and testing. You actively contribute to peer reviews and collaborate closely with engineers to maintain consistency and quality. 

Tableau Develop er | Day-to-Day 

  • Develop and optimize Tableau dashboards with efficient filter usage and field relationships to reduce load times. 
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support performant Tableau visualizations. 
  • Manage Tableau environments, including development, QA, and production, with minimal handholding. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard issues across multiple customer deployments. 
  • Implement engineering best practices for version control, testing, and Git deployment of Tableau assets. 
  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts through peer reviews and knowledge sharing to elevate team skill levels. 

Tableau Developer | Skills & Experience 

  • 3+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer or BI Analyst with strong technical skills. 
  • Proficient in SQL and relational database concepts relevant to Tableau data sources. 
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing Tableau dashboards for performance and scalability. 
  • Familiarity with Tableau Server environments and deployment workflows. 
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git for Tableau development. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
