Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Position Details:

• Unit: Emergency Room (Unit Code: 36230)
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: July 21, 2025
• Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Shift Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Block Scheduling: Not available (weekend block may be considered)

Licensure & Certification Requirements:

• License: Active RN License in Tennessee or Compact State (NLC)
  • Pending license NOT accepted
• Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA Required)
  • ACLS, PALS, and TNCC preferred

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum Experience:
  • 2+ years of Emergency Room RN experience
  • Level I Trauma Experience is REQUIRED
• Preferred Experience:
  • Large hospital/urban trauma setting
  • Cerner EMR system
• Travel Experience:
  • At least 1 completed travel assignment required
• First-Time Travelers:
  • Not accepted

Candidate Submission Criteria:

• Local Candidates:
  • Not accepted (must live 100+ miles from facility)
• RTO Policy:
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be declared at time of submission
• Holiday Work Expectation:
  • If assignment includes Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's: must work 2 of 3
  • If includes 2 holidays: must work at least 1

Unit & Facility Information:

• Unit Type: Emergency Department
• Patient Population: All ages with a wide range of emergency conditions
• Floating: May float to similar units or other Methodist campuses within 20 miles (rare unless otherwise stated)

Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions permitted)
