Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Boise, Idaho.

• Experience Requirements :
  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient oncology experience required
  • Infusion or inpatient oncology experience preferred
  • Open to first-time travelers with the required background

• Unit Name : Chemo Infusion – Boise
• # of Beds/Rooms : 24 infusion chairs
• Average Number of Providers in Clinic per Day : Clinic is located across from Clinical Oncology
• Average Number of Patients per RN per Day : 8–10 patients
• Staffing :
  • 10 RNs + 1 Charge RN (non-assigned)
  • Charge RN manages daily assignments
  • 2 CNAs assist with vitals, lunches, venipuncture if needed
• Required Certifications :
  • Mandatory : BLS
  • Preferred : OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
• Patient Population :
  • Solid tumor cancers
  • Benign hematology
  • Bone marrow transplant

• Common Duties :
  • Chemotherapy administration
  • Patient assessments and discharges
  • Port access, IV starts
  • Dressing changes
• Management/Supervision :
  • Nurse Supervisor and Charge RN present
  • Charge RN does not take a patient assignment
• Support Staff : 2 CNAs on staff daily
• EMR System : EPIC
• Shifts & Scheduling :
  • Clinic hours: 0630–1800, Monday–Friday
  • Standard shifts: 8-hour shifts
  • Option for 4x9-hour shifts; day off may rotate depending on coverage needs
  • Weekly schedule finalized by Thursday of the prior week
  • Start times may vary but typically remain consistent
• Weekend Requirement : None
• Holiday Requirement :
  • Coverage may be needed on 6 major holidays: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day
  • Travelers only scheduled on holidays if needed
• Call/Standby Requirement : None
• Floating Requirements :
  • May float to one of four sites within Treasure Valley: Boise, Meridian, Nampa, or Fruitland
  • Meridian is the most common float location
• Dress Code : Clean, professional scrubs – any color acceptable
• Radius Rule : 50-mile radius rule applies
• Professional References : Required – no exceptions or alterations
