Job Description

Role Summary:

Indeck Energy Services, Inc., a leader in the development and operation of renewable and conventional power generation, is looking for an Energy Analyst (onsite) to join its Buffalo Grove, IL based Asset Management team. This role involves finance, operations, regulatory and compliance tasks including budget development, project performance reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Required:
  • Non-remote. Must be able to come into the Buffalo Grove, IL. office, M-F, 8am - 5pm.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Local candidate. No relocation.


Responsibilities:


Finance:

  • Collect and analyze data on energy markets.
  • Financial modeling and analysis.
  • Assist in preparing plant budgets.
  • Prepare and reconcile invoices.
  • Complete other ad-hoc analyses as needed.


Operations:

  • Identify revenue improvement and risk mitigation opportunities.
  • Work with operations and engineering teams to identify opportunities for asset optimization.


Regulatory And Compliance:

  • Administer project contracts including operating agreements, credit agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, and off-take agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


Required Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Economics) and coursework in Finance or Accounting.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Some travel required.
